Lucy’s Party.
which means there’s so much emphasis on love & couples right now although we certainly feel miles from it… This makes complete sense because it’s a holiday for lovers. As someone who doesn’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day, I’ve decided to put my own twist on the 14th this year: Treating yourself (and/or your girlfriends).
So often in a world that moves faster and faster, we forget to slow down and enjoy what’s right in front of us. And it can be hard to when there’s so much hatred and negativity breeding. It’s been frightening to witness lifelong and deep-seated friendships disintegrate because of political differences. Call me naive, but regardless of faith and belief, I think one can and should always be respectful. Always choose love and cherish your friendships… After all, you only get them once.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
BATHS
I already made bath-taking a resolution at the start of 2016, and I can’t articulate how relaxing and satisfying a candle lit bath is… Rose petals and unicorn water (with Lush Rose Bombshell) make it all the better. The rose oil and Sicilian lemon oil in this bath bomb from Lush take divinity to a whole new level! I’d be willing to bet your girlfriends aren’t indulging in baths on a routine, which means this would make a beautiful Valentine’s Day gift.
FACE MASKS
Sheet masks are a cheap alternative to facials… Although I’m not very diligent about using mine, when I do, I honestly feel like they perform overnight miracles! You’ll hear most people say a girl can never have too many lipsticks, but truth is, a girl can NEVER have too many SHEET MASKS. Everyone who tries them usually converts so no doubt that you and your girls will love these as much as I do!

WINE
I love wine, like many things on this list, but probably don’t drink enough of it. One of my favorite brands is B Lovely. Their Rieslings and Gewurztraminers are super easy to drink even for the girls who don’t like to drink. I always recommend this brand for anyone interested in wine, but hasn’t “acquired the taste”.
FRAGRANCES
Now I’ve never been for scents up until recently and have really underestimated their powers. Just like a bold lipstick or the right pair of shoes, the right fragrance can empower you and make you feel beautiful and feminine. Vince Camuto’s Fiori is light and floral-y, making it a perfect pick for early Spring! Other favorites include Roses de Chloe & Byredo Mojave Ghost.
BOLD LIPSTICK
Bold red lips aren’t exactly kissable for guys, but when you’re celebrating for yourself or with your girlfriends, it’s definitely a great way to spice things up! I love this Ilia Lipstick in Lucy’s Party because it strikes the perfect balance of red and vampy…nothing too attention-drawing. These lipsticks are also super moisturizing.
