Outside my beauty routine, I don’t talk about much else that goes on in the bathroom…
But I’ve really been piling on the products (it’s what happens when the skin doesn’t oblige). So, let’s open up the doors a little on my bathroom favorites.
Harry’s Shave Set*
We don’t talk enough about razors in the beauty blogosphere. I’ve had the opportunity to get laser hair removal many times now, but I always opt out because I’m really not that hairy… For my under arms, I usually tweeze once a week and shave wherever else once or twice a month – and both are typically a quick process because I just don’t have a lot of hair…but that doesn’t mean I don’t need a good razor. To be honest, I never put much thought into this so when Harry’s reached out to me to test their Shave Set, I jumped at the opportunity to educate myself. I loved packaging and the simplicity of the design – these sets would make excellent gifts for anyone (guy or gal). And as infrequently as I put a razor to my skin now, I was even more thrilled with their price point – far superior to what you’d find at Target or Walmart for less. For the set, you pay $30 but it comes with 3 razors, a shaving cream, and blade cover or you can restock your blades for $8 (4 blades), plus free shipping on $10. Amazing price aside, Harry’s razors delivers, gliding easily and smoothly across my legs with the assistance of the shaving cream and makes my regularly disheveled skin feel baby soft. Definitely put more thought into your shave… The Winston does an excellent job!
Aurelia Miracle Cleanser
I still can’t believe I’d been gawking at this Probiotic Cleanser for over 3 years now but never caved into temptation. Yay me, but also boo! because I’ve been missing out! There has been so much buzz around probiotics in skincare these last few years… I know I have been a fan having experienced the benefits of yogurt on the skin – its helped me rid cold sores, perioral dermatitis, and even acne at one point! Anyway, this product cleanses and moisturizes collectively, which means it’s going to be a winter staple for someone with dry and dehydrated skin like mine. The muslin cloth that comes with works well to clean and exfoliate the skin. If you’re oily or combo, or wear lots of makeup, I can’t say you’ll love it, but if you’re a less is more kind of girl, no doubt you’ll enjoy the luxe experience.
Arrojo Holding Spray*
When I was in NYC over the summer, I saw Arrojo ads bound across billboards and windows, which put it on my radar. Of course, the first product I test is the Holding Spray as it’s no secret now how much I loathe my boring, flat hair. I love that I don’t have to use this on towel-dried hair, and that I can just sprits it through my roots and shaft to bring life and body back into my mane. It creates texture, structure, and volume without the stiffness of traditional sprays. It’s also what I’m opting for when I’m in a rush and have no time to work the blow dryer. This product gets the job done!
LaLicious Lip Butter*
I love my Glossier Balm Dotcoms, but I have also been using this LaLicious Lip Butter in Sugar Lemon Blossom nonstop. My favorite thing about it is that it’s petrolatum free so it doesn’t give that extra slip and glossy look that most lip balms do. That means it’s perfect to use when you’re layering on lip products that contain color. I feel like most lip balms often alter the color of lipsticks due to the gloss and tint they contain, but not this one… Plus, it really keeps my lips moisturized and soft – something I can’t complain about as the temps start to drop.
Tried any of the above? Would love to hear your thoughts!
