So many exciting things happening at Glossier as of late!
Best news is they’ve started shipping internationally beginning with Canada (minus Quebec) earlier this week and then UK will be next. I’ll keep you guys posted now that I’m finally alive again…
But anyway, several months have passed since I’ve chimed in on the line. A few things have launched since so I wanted to do an updated Glossier edit of my favorites and top recommendations.
My #1 recommendation is the Phase 2 Set! In this set, you get the Boy Brow, Stretch Concealer, & Generation G – you pick your shade. These three products alone are in my Top 5 favorites… The Boy Brow, I just can’t live without. It thickens, darkens, and fills – really brings life to my brows (I wear Black). I love the Stretch Concealer because it’s so emollient and light while providing enough coverage. It doesn’t cake or crease and is perfect for all skin types. And then Generation G is the perfect lipstick for girls who prefer not to have too much lip going on. It looks like a stain but feels like a balm – just plain lovely (my favorite shade is Like).
Next up, Priming Moisturizer Rich hits the top shelf as soon as October arrives here in the Carolinas. It’s like butter for the skin and keeps those frisky dry patches away. My latest favorite is the Invisible Shield (which isn’t shipping to Canada yet but will). The gel texture is perfect for the sweltering heat and it wears amazingly well under makeup. It isn’t waterproof so I find it best for everyday wear…just don’t take it to the pool or beach.
RECAP – My top 5 favorites and recommendations are: Boy Brow, Stretch Concealer, Generation G, Priming Moisturizer Rich, and Invisible Shield.
Glossier has just been so impressive across the board, making it really hard to pick just 5. Truth is you really can’t go wrong with whatever you buy. It’s such an uncomplicated collection that works. The products listed above are what I reach for time and time again, which I think makes it equivalent to a Top 5 situation.
My other favorites include the Haloscope in Moonstone because it just makes my skin look glossy and dewy versus glittery. It’s a low key highlighter that’s super day appropriate. I also love the Cloud Paints. Everyone on IG raves about Dusk + Haze, but I’m still a partisan of Dusk + Puff (reminds me of Tarte’s Exposed Blush). The Lip Gloss is also a game changer in the gloss category because it’s so pillowy soft while delivering that trendy high shine look in full. Milk Jelly Cleanser makes it to everyone’s holy grail and I can see why. It’s effective AF at removing makeup – just apply it to dry skin and work it in carefully. It keeps your towels clean. And then finally, there’s the not-so-basic Balm Dotcom. The Birthday Balm is spot on cake – love this so much and I want to eat it, but my favorite is the Coconut one. Nothing beats coconut. Oh, what makes it not so basic is that its multipurpose and melts wherever you put it! I’ve also raved the Super Pure redundantly in the past, but I think my skin has become immune to it after 8 bottles… So, I’d still recommend it if you’re considering a serum that fights breakouts.
That’s pretty much it… Send any questions or comments you might have my way.
