A beautiful radiant mess!
I’ve been toying with these Zoeva Strobe Gels for over a month now, and I wasn’t exactly sure how I felt about them at first touch… I couldn’t seem to control the product and it just felt muddled, BUT I’m glad I gave them a chance because they’re splendid!
I love beauty brands that are constantly pushing the envelope and devising formulations that shake things up. The Zoeva Strobe Gels do exactly that – texture wise, they feel like a jello-pudding amalgam that melts into the skin. I’m a fan of dewy skin and highlighters, but not to the point where it seems like halos are hovering the face, and these Strobe Gels are perfect for that because they’re lightweight, yet can be layered for a heightened effect. They feel pretty wet on, but dry quickly into a glistening beauty without any glitter or distinct sparkle. They’re really gorgeous products, plus you get a generous amount – enough to last a lifetime (though keeping them around that long probably isn’t a great idea).
I have the shades Halo (a light pink pearlescent shade) and Corona (a golden peach tone) – I use them both depending on the type of look I’m aiming for, but both are perfect and more than appropriate for everyday. If you’re in a need of a new highlighter, these are definitely worth looking at. Halo will better suit paler skin tones – it’s the one I’m wearing above.
