It suddenly got quiet, right? Well thanks to Jonas, I spent an entire 4 days detained indoors where I turned one day into a mini beauty holiday, filled with activities way too long for me to partake in on the regular, and another day perfecting (or rather practicing) flat lays. The other two days, I dedicated to watching Korean dramas in sleepwear (a whopping total of 8 hours, which I vow to never do again) and ransacking the wardrobe. Although skinny jeans/pants have held their ground for YEARS, it really seems like newer silhouettes are making their way around town. So I figured I’d make good use out of my only white skinnies before they become completely irrelevant – I just love the aesthetic of crisp white skinnies against rich, low-cut black boots. But anyways, as I slid them on, I realized that I hadn’t bought a single pair of skinny jeans in the last two years yet I seem to be cumulating decent piles of boyfriend jeans and flares – more recently the high-water flare as my friends like to call it. (I have a pair of Zara gold boots and a Mango leopard fur coat en route and secretly can’t wait to throw them together.) Back to the matter at hand though, is this really the death of the skinnies? Any fashionista would know that the trick to seamlessly incorporating trends is to get on the wagon long before they forge their way to the flock and since the elitists are already on it, I’m afraid to say – the skinny might really be on its way out.
