Emerging beauty brand, First Aid Beauty, is one of those that I was iffy about in the beginning – let me explain. The brand prides itself on refraining from harmful ingredients and being gentle enough for the most sensitive skin. However, my first experiment resulted in unpleasant break outs with the Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer. My initial thought was “typical false claim”, but then I let my sister try it and she loved it. This just proves how particular skin can be. Regardless, my natural tendency is to shield myself from brands that yield bad results, especially since skincare products don’t come cheaply.
My curiosity about this brand over the last few months still lingered for some reason – why? I don’t know..I haven’t been able to put my finger on it, but perhaps it’s the alluring factor of the safe ingredient composition. I decided to go with the Facial Radiance Polish (exfoliant) next since I needed a new one and figured it’d do the least harm. It’s been a good 4 weeks now and I can honestly say I am really enjoying this product. I’m especially unfaithful when it comes to exfoliators, but this one is something special. The particles within it aren’t too fine to the point where it essentially does nothing. On the other hand, it’s not so rough to where it feels like my skin is being torn apart. The best part is that I haven’t had a bad reaction, which means I’m starting to have mixed feelings about this brand – I admit, I actually kinda like it. I also really enjoy the earthy scent and soft texture, which is truly a joy to apply. My two day a week application routine has now become three because I’m always a bit excited to reach for it. After I come out the shower, my skin feels refreshed, ideally clean, and soft. I would not hesitate to go for another round of this stuff.
