To make use of my unworn dresses in this southern tundra, I’ve just been throwing them over pants. I’ve noticed it seems to be an emerging trend (which I didn’t realize til WhoWhatWear posted an article on it a few days ago). It’s a huge reference on traditional Asian/Oriental dressing. I think the biggest factors to making this work are fit and proportion. Looser tunic dresses layered over fitted bottoms seem to be the safest route, which is how I’ve been wearing them (above). These outfits were worn on three separate occasions in the last month or so.
1/ Errands: Finders Keepers dress, Guess faux leather pants, Zara mini bag, Asos loafers
2/ Brunch: Zara fishnet tunic dress, Free People slip, Asos trousers, Zara heels
3/ Work: Lovers+Friends dress, Guess faux leather pants, F21 blazer, Vintage belt, MK Watch, Boutique9 heels
What do you think about this – would you wear it?
