I’ve become quite the concealer junkie over the years – it’s one of those woes that come with aging. I’ve already gone through quite the stash (from Dior, Nars, Clinique, Charlotte Tilbury, Becca, and others) and for where I am now (dark circles that don’t seem to wane and fine lines slowly coming to surface), it’s obvious to see why I’ve been on this route. So now, my latest venture? The LancĂ´me Maquicomplet Complete Coverage Concealer. Side note – Nordstrom’s been killin’ it with their price match policy across the board so if there’s any particular cosmetics you’ve been dying to try, might want to head over that way (that’s the primary reason why I gave into this product).
Now unto the product itself – complete coverage is no overstatement. I’ve heard before that this concealer outperforms the endlessly praised Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, but I’d been too uneasy about switching because I actually really liked the Nars. However, I’m now wishing I made the switch sooner. I blindly chose Clair 2 based on the reviews I read on makeupalley.com – it has a neutral-pink undertone compared to my neutral-yellow toned skin, but it counteracts the unwanted shadows and blemishes on my face perfectly. The smallest amount of product is all that’s needed to hide those annoying spots, but it does appear flat so it might be beneficial for you to add a highlighting concealer underneath the eyes (YSL Touche Eclat gets the job done).
What can I say? I’m a happy camper…nothing in my collection beats this product (concealer wise). You can see it in the works here at Zanita.com.
